OS FAIR 2023 will give the possibility to selected projects, organisations and initiatives to organise a workshop addressing any of the topics of the conference.
OS FAIR 2023 provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of work related to the foundational or more concrete aspects of Open Science: from policy formulation and implementation, infrastructure and service provisioning to turn Open Science into practice, to building and sustaining the human element to support it in the long run.
The OS FAIR 2023 organising committee invites proposals for workshops which may vary between 90, 120 and 180 minutes.
Workshops should emphasise current topics of particular interest to the broad community of Open Science on the latest policy, legal, technical and business issues in Open Science, FAIR data and related infrastructure. Proposals which favour and encourage the participation of attendees will be favoured.
Proposers are asked to submit a short proposal that describes all key characteristics and contributions of the workshop:
Proposal length should be a minimum of 500 words and should not exceed 800 words.
Workshop proposals will be evaluated primarily on their potential to stimulate interesting discussions, facilitate the exchange of ideas, promote collaborations, and contribute to a concrete roadmap for open science implementation.
Additional criteria are:
Applications will be evaluated by the Conference Programme Committee (blind peer-review).
Please note that the Open Science Fair 2023 is intended to be an in-person event. We expect all contributors (or their representatives) to be able to attend the conference on the premises.
