Ana María Cetto
Professor at Instituto de Física, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Chair of the UNESCO Global Open Science Steering Committee
Ana María Cetto does research on the foundations of quantum mechanics at the Institute of Physics and teaches at the Faculty of Sciences, UNAM. She is the founding President of LATINDEX, past President of the Mexican Physical Society (SMF), head of the project Luces sobre la Ciudad, science adviser to the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs (MFA), holder of the UNESCO Chair on Diplomacy and Heritage of Science at UNAM, and Chair of the UNESCO Global Open Science Steering Committee.
Michael Arentoft
Head of Unit, European Commission, DG Research & Innovation, Open Science
Michael was previously Deputy Head of International R&I Cooperation Strategy, Innovation Union policy officer, Acting Head of Strategy for ICT R&I, Sector Head of ICT R&I Work Programme and Planning, coordinator of ICT Essential Technologies and Infrastructures, and project officer in High Performance Computing and Networking. Before joining the EC, he was with Computer Resources International and with Rovsing International. His educational background is from the University of Pennsylvania’s Computer and Information Science PhD program and from the Technical University of Denmark’s Electrical Engineering Master’s program.
Saikiran Chandha
Co-Founder, SciSpace
Saikiran Chandha is the co-founder and CEO of SciSpace, the leading AI Research Assistant that uses large language models to automate parts of the research workflow. He holds a Master's in CS and is a Stanford Ignite Fellow. Previously, he built Typeset, an AI tool to automate formatting of manuscripts, reaching over 500k users. Recognized in Times of India's 40 under 40 and is an active contributor to Forbes business council, Fast Company and Entrepreneur magazine.
Haris Papageorgiou
Research Director Athena RC / Founder Opix
Haris is a co-founder and CTO of Opix, and Research Director at the Institute for Language & Speech Processing of Athena Research & Innovation Centre. Haris is responsible for building advanced content analytics and language technology for scalable systems and big data infrastructures. He is the Coordinator of the Technical Committee and Technical Responsible of operating the Greek nodde of CLARIN RI. He has been Chief Scientist in more than 30 EU & national projects in the area of multilingual, multimodal and multimedia processing. Haris holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
