Abstract:
Open Science can only be realized if core values become embedded in and applied to research and scholarly practices, and are accompanied by assessment criteria that value and foster their adoption. Adopting the HuMetricsHSS value-based approach, this poster will help the participants make explicit which values motivate the many conscious decisions and practices that go into scholarly work, stimulating an individual and collective reflection on a) those value that underpin a culture change towards Open Science; b) how metrics and indicators can support embedding those values in scholarly practices; c) which under-rewarded scholarly practices and outputs should be elevated and properly assessed.
