A train-the-trainer program for sustainable research data management training
Kerstin Helbig, Humboldt - Universität zu Berlin
Abstract:
A large number of researchers need to be trained in FAIR and open research data management at universities in the next years. However, human resources are scarce at infrastructure facilities and knowledge is just being built up for open science and data literacy. To enhance competences in a smooth, sustainable and fast way, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin created a train-the-trainer program for research data management. With funding of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the two universities designed a comprehensive concept that encompasses 22 learning units. The concept and the extensive accompanying training materials were published for re-use and adoption.
